RETIRED PERSON OF INDEPENDENT MEANS:

An application under this category, requires that the applicant is 60 years old or more and has sufficient financial resources and income to maintain themselves in the United Kingdom with no recourse to public funds and can show that they can be fully accommodated and demonstrate that they have a close connection with the United Kingdom and intend to remain here and make the United Kingdom their main home. An application of this nature should be made outside the UK to a British Embassy or British Mission.
